Oriental medicine offers you insight and fresh perspective on your health. Refined over thousands of years, this medicine is defined simultaneously as an art and a science, which views the body as a dynamic, interactive system.

Rima offers a holistic approach to community health, to provide symptom relief, address the underlying causes of dis-ease, and to help optimize resilience of the individual.  She works with people of all ages to assist a wide range of conditions. These include:

  • health and wellbeing: digestion, sleep, stamina, menstrual/hormonal cycles, pregnancy care, menopausal transition, men’s health and
  • seasonal issues: respiratory conditions like asthma, allergies & hayfever, colds/coughs/flu), and
  • living with chronic health challenges: immune disorders, chronic pain, degenerative conditions, and cancer patient support in conjunction with Western medicine.

Other interests include pediatrics, EENT disorders, skin and endocrine issues, and surgical scar recovery.

Throughout ongoing training and over 15 years in practice, Rima is grateful for the wise mentorship of Helen Mahoney. She studied Japanese acupuncture strategies with Paul Movsessian for 5 years, and is currently extending her meridian therapy skills with Si Yuan Balance and the teachings of Dr Richard Tan.

“I’m nourished by connection to country, community spirit and collaborative relationships, and sustained by Buddhism, yoga, gardening, creative dance and Ba Gua Zhang (Chinese martial arts). I regularly seek outdoor environments to connect, sit, walk, ride, paddle and ski.”
