Oriental medicine offers people insight and fresh perspective on their health. Refined over thousands of years, the medicine is defined simultaneously as an art and a science.  ‘The body is a complex, dynamic, interactive system. We are a microcosm of larger complex systems observable in nature. Support the integrity of the system to see what is possible.’

Rima offers a holistic approach to community health, to provide symptom relief, address the underlying causes of dis-ease, and to help optimize resilience of the individual. She works with people of all ages on a wide range of conditions. These include health and wellbeing (such as menstrual cycles, pregnancy care, menopause) and seasonal issues (respiratory conditions like asthma, allergies, colds/flu/coughs), and chronic health challenges (chronic pain, degenerative conditions, and cancer patient support in conjunction with Western medicine).

Her specific interests include pediatrics, women’s health, pain management, eye, ear, nose and throat disorders, skin conditions, endocrine issues, and surgical scar recovery.

Throughout her ongoing training and practice, Rima has been very grateful for the fabulous mentorship of Helen Mahoney. Now in practice for over twelve years, Rima is currently studying Japanese acupuncture strategies with Paul Movsessian.

‘I’m nurtured by connection to country, community spirit, collaborative relationships, backcountry skiing in winter, riding my bicycle in the bush, growing food, creative dance, Ba Gua (Chinese martial arts) and yoga.
