“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson

Helena is a remedial massage therapist, dancing freedom facilitator and international participatory event manager with an eclectic toolbox of skills.

Her journey to massage therapy began in her early 20s with the chiropractic management of two childhood injuries, both resulting from the extreme sports of horse riding and sailing.  With the birth of her first child in 2002 she shifted her focus from the long hours and physical demands of working in the events industry to the subtle, somatic, physiological and psychological depths of the human body.

She has been practising as a remedial therapist since 2008 in central Victoria and Bristol, England, where she has supported people from all ages and walks of life, from children to the aged, élite athletes to those in convalescence.

She uses a variety of remedial and relaxation techniques to respond to each client’s specific needs, including muscle energy technique and myofascial release, and she offers pregnancy and sports massage.

Helena is passionate about creating and supporting transformational experiences that inspire the heart of humanity toward justice and sustainability, and is particularly fascinated by the way we move through the world, and the way the world moves through us.

She has worked on the streets with disengaged youth, in prisons, schools, aged care homes, gold mines, festivals and corporate mergers, and supported a range of professionals from health practitioners and veterinarians to environmental consultants, mime artists, musicians and thespians.
